Presentation
I’m a mathematician specialist, working in the field of mathematics applied to agronomy at Green Shield Technology, a greentech startup, where I model the diffusion of pests in fields.
I’ve previously worked as a researcher at INRA Jouy-en-Josas (France), INRIA Paris (France), UCLA (USA). My main interests consist in mathematical and computational modeling applied to biology and agronomy, using stochastic and deterministic models. During my PhD in applied mathematics at INRA and INRIA (France), I worked on the stochastic modeling of protein production inside bacteria. At UCLA I’ve developed models to model the diversity of T-cells in the body. My main skills consist of the analysis of stochastic and deterministic models and the use of several computational language (Python, C++, Matlab, Julia) for simulations.
Collaborations and projects
- With T. Chou (UCLA – Biomathematics) and M. D’Orsogna (CSUN – Math Department): Stochastic models for T-cell diversity.
- With A. Sadier (UCLA – Sears lab): Reaction diffusion models in the teeth development in bats.
- With Julie Miller (UCLA – Pinter-Wollman Lab) Statistic model for ant foraging.

Programming
Under the Github account Grumpfou I have created two main softwares:
-
RFigure: software created to as tool for my professional work. RFigure that allows to store data and instructions that allow the production of Matplotlib instructions. Sources and download are available on Github: source code. See also this blog post
-
AthenaWriter: an open source softwares such as AthenaWriter, a short stories word processor.
Also…
During my spare time, I’m an editor of the online Magazine Kinea: a plurilingual magazine proposing rigorous political and economical analyses but also natural, social and human science popularization.
